Taught school for two years in Fullerton, CA. First computer programming job was in 1962 at Investor's Diversified. Grew fond of acronyms and abstractions. First programming project manager job was with UNIVAC at JPL in Pasadena, 1966. Then, VP Software Development for a computer company in MLPS called COMTEN in 1969. Founded Diversified Software (DSSI) in 1978. DSSI was (one of and perhaps) the most successful private software company in history. Profitable for 26 years of its 28 years existence.
Now "retired" and enjoying participating in some high-tech startups, more time with grandkids (13) and a little more time on the golf course. Travel frequently to Oklahoma, Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado to see kids, grandkids, and business interests.
